They wanted the right to vote, the right to own property, and the right to make equitable pay. Who wouldn't? But it's not as simple as this anymore. The discussion where feminists = hating families is 30 years out of date.

I really recommend that you read some post-feminist writing. This will really open your eyes about one's ability to find balance between motherhood and family and personal fulfillment. It's not an all or nothing proposition anymore.

And as for abortion, I think you should really examine this issue more. While I suppose there's a *possibility* that an all-male conspiracy is encouraging us to abort fetuses, I find this highly unlikely. Certainly that makes less sense than the fact that there is a pro-life movement pushed by religious people in an effort to keep people giving birth to devotees.

You seem like a very thoughtful person, and I think you should keep learning about these issues.

most of the peoples are ignorant about reality bco...

most of the peoples are ignorant about reality bcoz they see CNN & BBC & think that it is the truth...

I agree with most of this...but think the abortion...

I agree with most of this...but think the abortion issue has been vastly simplified by the anti-NWO crowd. The process of childbirth killed one in five women in Medieval Europe and this fact is usually overlooked by the forced-birther crowd. THis was actually one of the things that convinced me that we may be living in some type of fallen universe. I don't think that there are any easy solutions to this problem but I suspect that part of the problem of the abortion industry is that it has stripped conception of its spiritual aspect. My sense is that sometimes the spirit enters at the moment of conception--and sometimes it doesn't, depending on the will of the parents and the child.

One of my friends had an abortion where she prayed beforehand for the spirit of the chld (who she named Sky) not to inhabit her. A few months later her midwife had a child and, without my friend having told her about the name, she named it Sky! And what was weird is that the child had a weird bond with my friend, almost as if he knew her. So I think there is more to this than the typical refrain of "abortion is evil", especially considering how hard single motherhood can be for students and people who have any other agenda in their life at all. At my college, I recently saw a girl in the hall with a baby carriage next to her, and she was passed out cold on the ground, presumably from exhaustion. Really, I don't think that a sane God would design our universe to be that way either.

Maybe part of the problem is the childbirth process itself which, realistically, is a biological capacity that women did not necessarily choose to be born with. It may be that in previous times herbally induced abortion was less likely to result in a "soul harvest" because midwives could act in a shamanistic sense and direct the spirit of the child to a better place. This doesn't mean abortion is a great thing but I think that the horrific nature of it could be ameliorated somewhat if people realized exactly what is going on with it on a metaphysical level. I could write more but will stop here. Anyways, interesting post and I definitely agree about the need for traditional forms of parenting to return.

Your comment made me smile Lindley.
